A consumer warning about VIP Petcare Services based out of Windsor, CA that provides mobile vaccinating clinics held at Petfood Express and Petco in Northern California.
There are numerous postings of their careless, unethical vaccinating of pets – and deaths caused by their over vaccinating animals. A friend recently brought a kitten to VIP at Petfood Express that was just under 10 weeks old, with appropriate vaccine paperwork designating the kitten only needed one FVRCP vaccine, and they proceeded to give the kitten three unnecessary vaccines, their “package” – that was totally harmful to the kitten, unnecessary, dangerous, and unrequested – all to “upsell” and get more money. The kitten was indoor only and yet was given a Bordatella vaccine intranasal; then an FELV vaccine (unnecessary she’s an indoor only cat); then Rabies – she’s too young and indoor only.
In addition, there are countless postings on the Internet about cats/dogs and puppies and kittens that have died as a result of VIPs over-vaccinating and inappropriately vaccinating pets. Beware of taking your pet to this mobile vaccine clinic. I have heard nightmare stories about extremely sick pets from their “packages” and being given too many vaccines. They want to sell you as many vaccines as possible to charge you more, and profit more. But at the expense of the health of your pet.
Non-core vaccines are now known to cause cancer in pets – FELV, Rabies, FIP, FIV – see the reports. Exercise caution in too many vaccines being given at one time, too young, and unnecessary. VIP has many complaints against them and knows of the deaths of customer’s pets, yet continues their unethical vaccinating practice. They have no regard for your pets as proven again and again by numerous complaints.
Take your pet instead to a veterinarian’s technician and ask for only the absolute necessary vaccines. Stay aware from VIP Petcare Services mobile vaccinating clinics held at Petfood Express and Petco, and possibly other sites.
Good luck and here’s to a healthy, happy pet.
